MindMover: the Social Office

Here at MindMover, we believe that the workplace should be fun as well as productive. Part of the ethos is to make it a welcoming, enjoyable environment. Our social team is always looking for ways to spice up the office, and we’re going to be posting updates from time to time to let you know what’s going on outside of the working hours.

We’ve been planning several charity events to raise money for local good causes – we’re not just about online communities! One of the charities we have been raising money for is Webber Street, based a stone’s throw from our office and dedicated to helping the homeless in our area. Our recent MindMover “Bake-Off” introduced some friendly competition to the office. Everyone got involved – either baking or buying – and we managed to make a great amount of money for Webber Street. With a charity cocktail night happening later this month, we are constantly finding fun ways to help raise vital money for local good causes.


We have also started organising monthly post-pay-day lunches – it’s a great way to get out of the office once a month as a group and have a meal in the area. It also helps our various teams gel together in an outside setting. Coming together over lunch helps us do the same in a professional environment, forming a strong, cohesive team that can only help us to deliver top-class client service as one unit. Over the course of the year, we’ll be trying out as many different places as possible – good food, good company and a nice way to get away from the desk for a little while.


Our social team are always aiming to expand our horizons with the after-work company events, including a comedy night out last month. We got to hear hilarious material from some of the country’s best up-and-coming comics, including London’s own Nathan Caton. This is just one example that will be making up a great social year – with a karaoke night coming up as part of our monthly social events, and many more entertaining activities in the works, it’s an exciting time to be part of MindMover!
